It isn’t scratchy / itchy like my old one I bought this hammock swing to replace one that fell apart in the sun. The material is a soft polyester. It isn’t scratchy / itchy like my old one. It is comfortable and it still feels strong. I don’t get the impression it is going to give out or anything. I really like the way it looks (I got the mocha). The wood bar and tassles look fancy. I like the weave pattern. Time will tell how long it will hold up in the sun. I am not the type to bring it in and out.
