It gets the job done If you are looking for an inexpensive and unobtrusive tool to tend to your fires then this fits the bill. It is long enough for a standard fireplace to utilize without getting your hands in danger. It is not fancy, and to date has proven sturdy as I have been using it for a few months. The only downside is the grip, it would be nice to have a larger grip area but again, that increases the price. Overall I would recommend this poker as a useful and sound choice, it does what it is made to do…

almost perfect I like the design of this poker at the tip. I like the length of the product. What I don’t care for is the handle. It is awkward and not sturdy because it is hollow. So I cut it right before it starts to curl at the end and put a 4 ” wood file handle on it. Now I have the perfect fire pit poker. I can lift the firescreen safely and with ease because it sits it the groove, and my sturdy new handle helps with everything.

This is a no frills piece of steel. It’s … This is a no frills piece of steel. It’s an inexpensive poker which I purchased to cut off the handle and extend the poker by inserting the end into a long wooden handle to tend my large outdoor fireplace. Big flames used to mean burnt knuckles until I extended it.
