Ok Not very heavy duty…basically two hollow pipes, similar to electrical conduit, bent into shape and a small grip welded on the tip. Works ok, but logs do sometimes slip out of the claw’s grasp. I bought it because of the 40″ length. I tend to have bigger fires sometimes, and this grabber allows me to add and move firewood from further away than other shorter grabbers.

excellent fire camp tool Handles the big logs when sorting out the firewood n the burning campfire. The screw does have to get tightened from time to time. It gets to a point where the tips don’t meet squarely anymore. That is a definite weak link but overall it’s an excellent tool. As a reference point, the duraflame logs can be easily maneuvered. It can definitely handle bigger pieces of firewood.

Functional but rusts quickly. Big and functional but quickly starting to rust and come apart at center since nails have rusted in short period of time sitting outside by the fire pit. They are large so not really conducive to indoor use. Should be made of stainless steel.
